Min Chan Win (Managing Director)

Min is a project development professional with expertise in project implementation, coordination and evaluation with a particular focus on sustainable energy utilisation and access. He has a clear understanding on the fundamentals of energy policy, a balance between energy security and environmental protection as well as the socio-economic challenges behind it.

After founding Myanmar Eco Solutions (MES) in 2012, Min has successfully facilitated between international companies and local key stakeholders, which includes government ministries and regional authorities for projects across Myanmar. As Managing Director for both EAM Myanmar & MES, he is constantly pursuing his vision to be the best sustainable energy solutions provider in Myanmar.


Benjamin Frederick (Head of Operations)

Ben first came into contact with Min whilst on a summer internship for a foreign solar energy company who were expanding to Myanmar in 2013. Falling in love with Myanmar and seeing it’s need and huge potential benefit for sustainable energy solutions, Ben joined the MES team in 2014.

Ben’s role in MES encompasses the creation and development of business opportunities with day-to-day project management. A recent (MSci Physics 2014) graduate from the University of Bristol, Ben enjoys the challenge of weaving the technical and economic factors together, throughout the project development and operational stages.

Htet Linn Maung (Business Development Manager)

Inspired by the lack of electricity access in the home village, Htet Linn followed his interests to provide affordable energy access to the rural households and quality energy supply to the commercial and industrial consumers. He focused on off-grid sustainable energy solutions and techno-economic analysis of the renewable energy systems. He obtained his bachelor degree from Myanmar Maritime University with marine engineering specialization and the Master of Energy from the University of Auckland. His major topics covered energy resources and energy technologies in the developing and advanced economies. In MES, Htet Linn takes the role of business development, seeking the optimum solutions to satisfy the clients’ requirements.



Thwe Thwe Tun (Director, Administration and Logisitics)

Thwe is one of the founding directors of MES and have been actively engaged in the company’s day to day activities regarding general administration & logistics.

Thwe’s has a solid administrative background in the services industry which includes as director of sales for a leading international hotel in Yangon and as head of administration for Myanmar Tourism Marketing Committee.

Shein Mon Aung (Accountant)

Perusing her passion and interest for the natural world, Shein Mon graduated from The University of East Yangon with a B.Sc Botany in 2009.

Shein Mon turned her attention to accountancy, enjoying a challenge and wanting to develop her aptitude for Mathematics, and was awarded a Group Diploma in Accounting and Diploma in Management Accounting in 2011 from London Chamber of Commerce and Industry international qualifications. She has been working as an accountant ever since.

From previous experience working with Min, and believing in the potential of the solar business, Shein Mon was excited to join MES in 2015.


Ye Thu Win (Project Development Manager)

Ye Thu is passionate in developing sustainable energy projects across Myanmar, which are affordable and reliable for the people and industry alike. He has a mechanical engineering degree from National University of Singapore (NUS) and a master’s degree in engineering from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. His focus is on alternative energy and environmental aspects covering perspectives from energy economics and modelling, environmental implications and advance renewable energy technologies. He also has a “Certificate Renewable Energy Project Developer” accreditation from Renewables Academy AG (RENAC), Germany. Previously, he worked for GIZ in the Project Development Program (PDP) for renewable energy as an alternative solution and Rural Electrification Program with specialized experiences on mini-grid development prior to joining Myanmar Eco Solutions.
